Karen Frattali, a longtime resident of Chester County, Pennsylvania, has been a part of the painting community for over 20 years. Primarily a watercolorist, she dabbles in other media, such as pastel, mixed media and digital art. Karen has degrees in education and received her early classical art training from Philadelphia College of Art. Over the years, she has participated in international workshops with reknowned painters of AWS and NWS credentials. "After this much time, it is less about the art school and more about the art experiences", says Karen. She has painted and photographed around the globe. The many locations are captured in her painterly contemporary realism which are identifiable by her highly colorful, personal style. Karen maintains numerous affiliations in the vast art community. Among them: National Watercolor Society, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society of America. She is currently serving as a president of PWS. In the regional art leagues, she periodically teaches workshops in watercolor and mixed media painting. She participates in national and regional exhibits and competitions. Her work is available in galleries and online, as well as in regional businesses. She has received awards of recognition and is hanging in corporate and private collections around the country.
